Can’t Miss DC Fall Festivals

While Summer heat is still hanging on, the calendar tells us that Fall is right around the corner. And for the DC region, that means Fall Festival Season! One of the great things about living in the DC area are all the cultural, gastric, and activity-laden events that offer opportunities to get out and enjoy our beautiful city. Here are just a few of the DC Fall Festivals planned for coming weeks. Mark your calendars and see you there!

H Street FestivalSeptember 21 Live music, dance performances, family-friendly activities, contests and plenty of food vendors across its 14 staging areas, with dozens of businesses participating.

ZooFiestaSeptember 21: Live music, authentic cuisine and educational activities regarding conservation in South and Central America. And of course, animals!

Chesapeake Oyster, Wine and Beer FestivalSeptember 21:  This annual celebration features 20 live shuckers providing you with thousands of raw oysters, along with grilled and steamed varieties. Also offers 30 international and local beers, wines and spirits.

Fiesta DCSeptember 21-22: Celebration of Latinx culture with parades, dance troupes, a beauty pageant, live musical and dance performances, plenty of food and much, much more.

Mount Vernon Fall Wine FestivalOctober 11-13: Wine festival at Mount Vernon featuring wine tours, live music and more.

SnallygasterOctober 12: 8th annual “mythical” wine fest fest featuring over 400 craft brews and ciders food trucks and live music. Adults only.

All Things Go Fall ClassicOctober 12-13: This fesitval stretches across two days and features live performances from Chvrches, Melanie Martinez, Léon, Sneaks and many more. Also showcasing favorite area eats.

Maryland Renaissance FestivalWeekends August 24-October 20: Renaissance-themed artisans, performances by dancers and musicians, and food.

The Bentzen Ball Comedy FestivalOctober 24-27: 10th anniversary round-up features a different Bright Young Things comedian on each evening, this comedy festival will keep you in stitches. All-access passes, good for each performance, sell out each year, to don’t delay.

DC Mac + Cheese FestivalOctober 26: Sample more than 25 kinds of macaroni and cheese, as well as over 60 craft beers, wines, and ciders;  live music from local bands.
